Comparison · other people's day forty

A hundred days where nobody is ahead of you

The hashtag is full of finished work, photographed in good light. Yours is a smudged page under a kitchen lamp. The comparison starts before the pencil moves.

What changes over a hundred days

frame 1

The reflex to measure yourself against strangers is still loud. Writing a report instead of posting a picture is the first thing that quiets it.

Day 1–10

The reflex to measure yourself against strangers is still loud. Writing a report instead of posting a picture is the first thing that quiets it.

Day 30

Your own log becomes the comparison you use: this week against your week forty days ago, rather than against somebody's finished piece.

Day 100

A hundred entries that belong to your practice, and a clear sense of what you worked on rather than what looked good.

how it runs

You file a report, not a portfolio

01Three tasks that answer only to youWritten each morning, for your hand and your week. They are not visible achievements and they are not meant to impress anyone.
02The evening report is wordsWhat you did and how long it took. No image is required, so nothing can be compared with anything.
03The group tracks days, not qualityWhat the people around you see is that you showed up. There is no feed, no like count and nothing that sorts you against them.

Fair questions

Is there a gallery of everyone's work?

No. There is no gallery, no voting and no likes. Reports are text, and images are never required.

Can I share a drawing if I want to?

You can, in the group. Nothing is ranked and nobody is expected to respond with an assessment.

Do you critique what I make?

No. We do not review work, and nobody in the group is asked to. That is deliberate — critique is what turns this back into a scoreboard.

Then what is the group actually for?

So that showing up is witnessed and stopping is visible. That is a different job from feedback, and it is the one that keeps practices alive.

What if I miss a day?

You log the miss and go on. Nobody is counting a streak, least of all against anyone else's.

Three tasks each morning. One report each night. A hundred days of art.
