how the first one ended
It did not end with a decision
- There was no moment where you quitA day slipped, then a weekend, and at some point the project was simply over. Nothing recorded the stop, so nothing interrupted it.
- The first attempt had no rule for a bad dayThe plan covered the days you drew. It said nothing about the ones you did not, which are the days that decide a hundred-day run.
- Beginning again feels like admitting the first try did not countPeople who abandoned these projects halfway write about exactly this weight. Starting at day one carries the old number with it.

Questions from people on attempt two
How is this different from doing it alone again?
Two things: the report exists whether or not you drew, and other people read it. Neither was true in a solo attempt.
Does a missed day reset my count?
No. The count is of days in the programme, and missed days are part of the record rather than a reason to restart.
Can I use the same project I abandoned?
Yes. We have no opinion on your subject; you choose it and the daily structure is the same either way.
What if I stop again?
Then the group sees it early rather than a month later. Whether you resume is yours, but it will not happen invisibly.
Is there any coaching?
No coach and no teaching. The programme is the daily list, the nightly report and the people filing theirs.
what is different this time
The missed day has a procedure
the shape of it
The stretch where the last attempt died
Familiar and easy. The useful work is writing smaller tasks than you did last time, while it still feels unnecessary.

The zone where the previous run ended. You miss a day, file the report anyway, and day thirty-one has somewhere to attach.
A finished hundred with gaps in it. A hundred days with missed days logged is a completed run, not a failed one.

A hundred days at the table
Three tasks each morning. One report each night. A hundred days of art.
Half-finished hundreds are the normal outcome
documented, not invented
An artist who quit the project midway writes that he reached the halfway mark, felt overwhelmed by the daily format and went back to working large.
sourceAnother artist's account of several failed attempts lists the causes plainly: pressure on the outcome, rules that were too vague, and life simply getting busy.
sourceSources are linked next to each claim. Paraphrased, because we have not verified the original wording line by line.
