Parents · twenty minutes after bedtime

A hundred days of code in whatever the evening leaves

Bedtime runs late, someone wakes up, the twenty minutes turn into none. Any plan that assumed a quiet two-hour evening was dead the moment you wrote it.

log

Learning how small is small enough. Most people halve their tasks before the first week is out.

Day 1–10

Learning how small is small enough. Most people halve their tasks before the first week is out.

Day 30

A bad fortnight — illness, teething, travel — and the run comes through it with three near-empty reports in the middle.

Day 100

A hundred entries, most of them modest, and a project that moved anyway because the days did not stop.

why the evening plan fails

The time is not short, it is unpredictable

  1. 01

Some nights there is nothing left to give

Too tired to open the laptop, and on the nights you do open it, no idea what to do with the time.

  2. 02

    Short you could plan for

What you actually get is forty minutes or zero, and the decision belongs to someone who is two years old.

  3. 03

Guilt sits on both sides of it

Coding feels taken from the family, not coding feels like the year going past. Neither feeling has ever produced a line of code.

the mechanism, sized down

Three small tasks, one short report

01

Write three tasks the size of one bedtime

In the morning, while the day is still theoretical. A task that needs a clear hour is the wrong task for this stretch of life.

02

Report even on the nights nothing happened

Two lines, including “none of it”. A logged zero keeps you in the run, an unlogged one starts the drift.

03

Sit with people whose evenings also collapse

Nobody in the room is posting about their four-hour deep work block, because they do not have one either.

before you sign up

What parents ask

What if I lose four days to a sick child?

You report them and continue. There is no penalty and no reset, because a reset would only make you quit properly.

Is fifteen minutes really enough?

For the run, yes — it is a day that happened. Whether it is enough for your goal depends on the goal, and the log will show you honestly.

Do I have to be awake at a set time?

No. The three tasks get written when your morning is, the report when your day ends. There is no fixed hour.

Are there live sessions to attend?

None. Everything is written, so it still works at eleven at night.

What does it cost?

The price appears when the next group opens. This page takes no payment.

Three tasks each morning. One report each night. A hundred days of code.

A hundred days that fit the evenings you actually get

Leave an email and the start date arrives once it is set. No payment here.

One email. It contains a date and nothing else.
