Three months of French, counted in days you actually did it

People ask whether French is possible in three months. The honest answer depends entirely on what happened on about seventy of those days, and nobody keeps that record. This programme is the record: a hundred days, three tasks a day, one report each evening.

card 1

Enthusiasm does the work and the lists are too ambitious. Most people cut them in half by day eight.

Day 1–10

Enthusiasm does the work and the lists are too ambitious. Most people cut them in half by day eight.

Day 30

The point where earlier attempts died. This time there is a report due, and the day gets done in ten minutes instead of not at all.

Day 100

A hundred entries you can read in one sitting, which is a more reliable account of the three months than your memory of them.

why the restarts

Every attempt starts well. That was never the difficult bit.

the mechanism

Decide in the morning, account for it at night

01Three tasks, written before the day gets a voteThe morning version of you chooses; the evening version only executes. That swap is most of what this programme sells.
02Two lines at the end of the dayDone, not done, and anything you noticed. Cheap enough to write on your worst day, which is the only day it matters.
03A hundred days you can read backAt day seventy the log settles the argument about whether anything is happening, without relying on how you feel that evening.

Things people ask

Can I actually speak French after three months?

We will not promise that, because we have no control over your material, your starting point or your hours. We promise a structure that makes a hundred days of practice likely.

Are there lessons?

None. No videos, no exercises, no curriculum. If you want teaching, you buy it elsewhere and log it here as one of your three tasks.

What if I miss a week, not a day?

You write the week down and return to the list. The count is of days you did something, and a week off does not delete the sixty days before it.

How big is a group?

Small enough that unfamiliar names are rare and your report gets read. Exact size depends on the intake.

Do I have to write publicly?

The report goes to the group. That visibility is the working part of the mechanism, so there is no private mode.

Three tasks each morning. One report each night. A hundred days of language.
