Hundred

For the all-or-nothing practitioner

The day after the missed day is the only one that matters

Missing once is ordinary. What ends practices is the reasoning that follows it: if it cannot be every day, there is no point doing it at all.

The streak is the weak part

why it ends

A broken count feels like a verdictThe number resets, and the number was doing most of the motivating. What is left is the practice itself, with nothing attached to it.
Restarting costs more than continuingDay one has to be announced to yourself. Day forty-one does not, which is why it is easier to skip the restart entirely.
Perfection is a quiet way of quittingHolding the practice to a standard it cannot meet on a hard week guarantees the hard week ends it.

day 100

A record with gaps in it, which is what an honest hundred days looks like.

Three tasks in the morning, one report at night

how it runs

3 1 ∞ tasks, morning report, night people reading it
  1. 01 Write three tasks you can finish badly Sized for the worst version of the day, not the best. A two-minute sit written down and done beats twenty minutes imagined.
  2. 02 Report the miss as plainly as the hit The report has no failure state. It records the day, which is the only thing that makes the next one legible.
  3. 03 Read other people missing days The most useful thing in the room is other people's ordinary weeks, written down without apology.

Reasonable questions

So there is no streak at all?

There is a count of days you showed up. It does not reset when you miss, because resetting it has ended more practices than it has saved.

What if I miss a week?

You write the week down and continue. People who do this report it is the single hardest and most useful entry they make.

Do you teach meditation?

No. You bring the practice. The structure and the people are what is provided here.

Is this therapy?

No, and it is not a substitute for care from a professional.

When does it start?

Groups begin on a fixed date so everyone counts the same hundred days. Leave an email and we tell you the next one.
