November still means writing. It has no address any more.

The nonprofit behind National Novel Writing Month shut down on 31 March 2025. The habit it built did not shut down with it, and every autumn a large number of people go looking for somewhere to put November. This is one option, and it keeps running after the month ends.

Independent. Not NaNoWriMo, not its successor, not connected to either.

what thirty days leaves behind

The month ends and the manuscript does not

A hundred days from the first of November

The month you already know how to do, at a pace you could still keep in February.

how it runs

Three tasks in the morning, one report at night

01Three tasks, written in the morningSized for a normal day rather than a sprint. A hundred days forces that on you in a way thirty never did.
02One report at nightWhat you did, what you did not. Short. It is the only thing the programme actually asks of you.
03In a group that started the same dayEveryone counts from one date, so day sixty is day sixty for all of you, and a missing report is visible.

Day 1–30

The month you already know how to do, at a pace you could still keep in February.

Day 60

Deep in the part the thirty-day format never covered: the draft after the rush, on days with no event attached to them.

Day 100

Counted from 1 November, day 100 falls on 8 February. A hundred logs, and a winter with a shape.

what changed in the niche

The November audience lost its organiser

—
NaNoWriMo, Inc. closed on 31 March 2025 after financial and reputational trouble, leaving the November event without a central organiser. source
—
ProWritingAid now runs Novel November, a free 50,000-word November with daily co-writing sessions — one of several successors that appeared afterwards. source

Reasonable questions

Are you NaNoWriMo?

No, and we are not its replacement or a continuation of it. We run a hundred-day accountability programme that happens to suit a November start.

Is there a word count target?

None that we set. You write your own three tasks, and they can be word counts if that is how you work.

Can I start in November and count into February?

That is the arithmetic: a hundred days from 1 November ends on 8 February.

Are there forums, badges and regional groups?

No. What exists is the daily report and the people reading it.

What does it cost?

The price is set when a group opens. This page takes no payment.

November, and the ninety days after it

Leave an email and we send the start date. No payment is taken here.

  • Three tasks in the morning, one report at night
  • A hundred days, so the draft outlives the month
  • A group that starts on the date you do

One email with the date. Nothing else.
